Independence & Governance
Gold Coast Masters Cycling Club (GCMC) is an independent racing body. We are in no way associated with AusCycling. GCMC operates under its own unique Constitution and specific Racing Rules tailored to masters athletes. The GCMCC is affiliated with the AVCC, AustralianVeteran Cycling Council.
An AusCycling license is not required to race with us, nor does it provide insurance coverage for our events. Our $145.00 fee covers our own comprehensive 24/7 insurance policy.

Our Safety Commitment
At GCMC, we believe that the road is a shared resource. Our members range from 30 to over 80 years old, and our priority is ensuring everyone—cyclists and motorists alike—arrives home safely.
Predictable Riding
We train our members to be predictable. No sudden swerving, clear hand signals for turning or hazards, and strict adherence to traffic lights.
Respecting Space
We ride no more than two abreast and "single up" when road conditions or heavy traffic dictate, ensuring we don't cause unnecessary delays to others.
Member Accountability
As a club, we hold each other accountable. Foul language or aggressive behavior toward motorists is not tolerated and does not represent GCMC.
